Principal & Head Instructor
“ It's not about mastering
other people, it's about
mastering yourself. ”
- Sifu Nathan
Nathan's Martial Arts experience is extensive, having spent years training in Boxing, Shotokan Karate, Taekwondo, Chinese Kickboxing, and Ninjukai Taijutsu. After discovering Wing Chun, Nathan devoted his time to mastering the style after quickly seeing its ‘real life’ practicality for the modern world, scientific nature, and focus on tactical strategy over the use of brute force especially important as one gets older.
Nathan's professional skillset also includes him being a Licensed Bodyguard, Personal Trainer and qualified assessor.
Nathan's knowledge, creativity and progressive attitude when applying Wing Chun techniques and training it to others, has made him one of the most sought after Wing Chun Instructors In Australia and throughout the world.

Head Instructor - Alice Springs
“ The more skill you achieve in martial arts, the twice as humble and virtuous you must be. ”
Sifu Opat began his journey at Perth Wing Chun in 2008. Unsure of whether Wing Chun was right for him, he briefly went off to experiment with a number of other Martial Arts. After a few months, he returned and declared that Wing Chun was the most effective system for fighting, and he would dedicate himself to practice it for life.
In 2011, after years of training from PWC under his belt, Sifu Opat moved his young family to Alice Springs for work opportunities. Once settled, Opat opened up his own Wing Chun School, Alice Springs Wing Chun Academy which has gone from strength to strength.
Sifu Opat regularly trains at PWC when in town to further hone his Wing Chun Skills.
