other people, it's about
mastering yourself. ”

Nathan's professional skillset also includes him being a Licensed Bodyguard, Personal Trainer and qualified assessor.
Nathan's knowledge, creativity and progressive attitude when applying Wing Chun techniques and training it to others, has made him one of the most sought after Wing Chun Instructors In Australia and throughout the world.

“It's not the destination that's important, it's the journey you take along the way”
- Senior Instructor Karl.
Karl's interest in Martial Arts came from watching Kung Fu movies as a kid which then led him to study Shotokan style Karate at the age of 8 yrs old. In the year of 2000, while still training in Karate, he decided to explore Wing Chun due to being recommended by a friend.
At the age of 14, Karl was suddenly diagnosed as being legally blind due to having optical nerve damage however through the continual training of Wing Chun, he says that this is not a great of a disability as it once was.
Karl is truly proud to be associated with Perth Wing Chun and looks forward to being part of the PWC community for years to come!

- Sifu Opat
Sifu Opat began his journey at Perth Wing Chun in 2008. Unsure of whether Wing Chun was right for him, he briefly went off to experiment with a number of other Martial Arts. After a few months, he returned and declared that Wing Chun was the most effective system for fighting, and he would dedicate himself to practice it for life.
In 2011, after years of training from PWC under his belt, Sifu Opat moved his young family to Alice Springs for work opportunities. Once settled, Opat opened up his own Wing Chun School, Alice Springs Wing Chun Academy which has gone from strength to strength.
